• What’s not to like? – Ford Fiesta 1.0l Ecoboost (Thoughts on Cars)

The tiny 1.0l turbocharged engine is one of Ford’s greatest engines ever, add that to the latest Fiesta and the result is probably the best economy car you can buy right now.
When you hear that this is powered by a 3-cyl 1.0l Ecoboost engine, you may think this is an underpowered, slow hatch, but you are more that wrong. This little power plant develops 123hp and 148 ft/lbs of torque, which is not bad for an engine smaller than a piece of A4 paper. The 197kph (122mph) top speed and the 0-100kph (0-60mph) in 9.4sec aren’t bad too.

Here at Overdrive we love the styling of the Fiesta, and combined with this economical, smooth Ecoboost engines I think that this is the car to buy if you need an economical car that looks good.

What’s not to like? The fact that when you add some extras this becomes more expensive than the ST model, and you probably can guess what I think about that…
